In Johannesburg, summer season means rain. Along the week you can see all types of weather conditions: rainstorm, sunshine, hail, 30 degrees, thunder and lightning, wind and temperature drop. But, since the weather is unpredictable, with a very pleasant surprise we woke up on Sunday with a clear and blue sky, hot sun and a chilly breeze. This unexpected day, without clouds, allowed me to:

1. get a terrible sunburn on my shoulders
2. join a rooftop party (first of my life) in the city centre

A Johannesburg l’arrivo dell’estate coincide con la stagione della piogge. Il che non sarebbe un problema se questo non volesse dire che durante la settimana si passa dal temporale, al raggio di sole, alla grandine, ai 30 gradi, a tuoni e fulmini, al vento, e, non da sottovalutare, al calo delle temperature. Ma siccome il tempo è imprevedibile (tanto quanto questa città) domenica mattina ci siamo svegliati con un bel cielo terso, sole e venticello fresco. Questa inaspettata giornata di sole mi ha permesso di (in sequenza):

1. prendermi una scottatura alle spalle
2. partecipare al primo rooftop party della mia vita

We arrived just one hour before the sunset and, after few secs in the lift, here is the stunning view of the city from the 22nd floor of Ranlords (South Point Towers 41 De Korte Street).

Siamo arrivati poco prima del tramonto e, dopo qualche secondo in ascensore, ecco la vista dal 22esimo piano del Ranlords (South Point Towers 41 De Korte Street).

We waited here for the sunset
